Ashes Scattering / Memorial
Celebrating the Life of a Loved One.
An Ashes Scattering ceremony may be held not long after the passing of a loved one, or many be many years later. It may be for one person or it may be for a couple. When my grandfather passed away, my grandmother decided that she wanted her ashes to be combined with his before they were scattered, so she held onto them for the remainder of her life. As they were joined together in life in marriage, so too were they to be reunited in death and scattered together into the ocean. She lived for a further 25 years before we were able to unite them in this final act.
This is a special farewell where the type of ceremony or memorial reflects your ideas, beliefs and feelings as you remember and celebrate the Life of a loved one.
“For it was not into my ear you whispered but into my heart.
It was not my lips you kissed but my soul”
Judy Garland
